SIDE-SEAMED VS. TUBULAR

Understanding the way t-shirts are constructed lays the groundwork for choosing the perfect tee.

The two distinct methods of T-shirt construction are side-seam and tubular.

Side-Seam Fit: Classic Construction and Flattering Shape

Tees made using side-seams have a more structured look, and while they are generally more expensive to make, they are also more flattering too.

All our Bella+Canvas tees are side-seamed, which is another reason we love Bella+Canvas. For an explanation and to better understand why we think you should always choose a side-seamed tee, watch to the video above.

Tubular Fit: Less Expensive, Less Fashionable

While cheaper to manufacture, given this tee require less sewing, they aren’t exactly figure-flattering because people’s bodies aren’t tubes. However, if you’re looking for a cheap tee option and fashion isn’t an important factor, tubular tees are the way to go.
